Josy Laza Gallagher
Josy Laza Gallagher is a Senior Consultant for The FutureWork Institute, Inc.®, with over 25 years in the area of Human Resources and Organizational Development. Ms. Gallagher has had a successful history in Managing, Recruiting/Staffing, Compensation, Training, Organizational Development, in the United States and overseas. She has strong communication, coaching and facilitation skills and a demonstrated track record of building relationships that support business objectives.

Ms. Laza Gallagher has managed global and domestic client assignments involving diversity management, organizational transitions, work environment studies, benchmarking best HR practices, and sexual harassment. Areas of expertise include organizational analysis, diversity training, focus group facilitation, women's issues, harassment prevention, Latino-Race issues, research and establishing and supporting Diversity Councils. As Project Manager for a variety of large clients, Ms. Gallagher has helped them execute their diversity strategy and meet their training goals. She has a special interest in developing strategies of inclusion within the healthcare and hospital environment.

Ms. Gallagher has facilitated conversations about skin color, race and culture particularly involving the Latino community and has led workshops for the Working Mother media on Latinas and women of color. In July 2001, Ms. Gallagher was one of 200 women nationally invited to participate in a forum to discuss issues related to women of color in organizations and participated in the development of a national corporate survey used to identify the best companies to work for sponsored by Working Mother Media. She has served as one of the facilitators to the Latina Group, at all the Working Mother Women of Color Forums held in New York and Washington DC.

Ms. Gallagher received her Bachelor of Arts Degree and New York teacher certification from Marymount Manhattan College and a Master's degree in French and Spanish Literature from the City University of New York. She is certified in the Myers Briggs Instrument, Rummler Brache-Work Process Analysis, Peter Block- Consulting Skills, Carlson Learning DiSC Instrument and the Blessing White - Managing Personal Growth.

She is Afro-Cuban, fluent in Spanish and French, has lived and worked in Paris, France and Geneva, Switzerland and enjoys and appreciates cultural diversity. Ms. Gallagher is a founding member of the Career Women's Forum in Geneva, Switzerland and is a founding member, Vice President and Program Chair of Madrinas, a virtual a network for Corporate Latinas and is a member of the Organizational Development Organization and Society for Human Resources Management. She does volunteer work in the area of Organizational Development in Cuba.
