Yosh Beier is consultant and coach for The FutureWork Institute, Inc.®. He works on assignments for US- and European-based Fortune 500 and medium-sized organizations. His activities include training and consulting in the field of cross-cultural competence and diversity to foster more inclusive work environments. In particular, activities include the development and delivery of training and the planning and evaluation of diversity initiatives. As a coach, Yosh enhances individuals' and teams' effectiveness by helping them build sustainable and effective competencies for communication, collaboration and team leadership. He facilitates team building and conflict resolution processes. In addition, Yosh works as a technical expert in work groups affiliated with the European Commission in the field of lifelong learning and the quality assurance of continuing vocational training based on informal learning. Before moving to New York, Yosh worked in Berlin as a research associate for the Fraunhofer Society, a renowned German institution for applied research. He participated in the development of a personnel development concept to foster social, personal and technical competences employing concepts of informal, work-based learning. Prior to that, Yosh worked as a managing director for a consulting company where he was responsible for HR and financial management. He introduced enterprise resource planning systems to the manufacturing industry and supported these companies' change management efforts. Yosh holds a master's degree in theoretical physics from the Technical University of Berlin. He studied mathematics and philosophy at Trinity College, Dublin. Yosh is a licensed counselor and is trained in coaching, group facilitation and conflict resolution (Columbia University, New York). Yosh's research interests focus on the impact of diversity on the decision making process. He is fluent in German and English, and proficient in Spanish. ybeier@futureworkinstitute.com |
