Surveys
with diversity or work-life indexes
Surveys are excellent ways to gather employee opinions, quantify them
and prepare
responses that make a real difference. We have conducted scores of employee
surveys as part of our research to get diversity and work-life initiatives
started.
Most are online and completely confidential. We can complete a survey
for an entire
company in as little as two-three weeks.
Placing diversity or work-life satisfaction indexes in surveys enables
companies to
see how different segments of their employee population look at key aspects
of
diversity or work-life balance, and how much targeted initiatives will
bring in return.

Affinity-based
focus groups
When we conduct focus groups to assess the climate and issues in an organization,
we separate participants into like groups: by race or gender, by generation
or
specialized function. Facilitators mirror the make up of the groups so
participants
are at ease speaking to their own issues. We call these special focus
groups
Affinity-Based Assessments.
Senior managers then see a clear snapshot of how the different segments
of their
workforce see the company. Issues are clearly prioritized, and action
steps are a
natural outcome of clear, compelling data.

| Senior
manager interviews
Managers need privacy and
a sense of confidentiality to speak clearly about their
feelings about diversity and work-life balance. Our trained interviewers
create a zone
of comfort so that managers can speak their minds. These data, rolled
up to ensure
that no one person is identified, tell the company how strong leadership
energy will
be around new initiatives and what will be welcomed in this particular
company.
Manager interviews kick off diversity and work-life initiatives by grounding
them in the
reality of this business enterprise at this time in its life
